Just as prayer is the believer’s most formidable weapon against the Enemy, youth is God’s most formidable weapon for the advancement of His Kingdom. The Bible says: “I have written to you, young people, because you are strong and the Word of God dwells in you and you have overcome the evil one”. (1John 2:14)
God does not fight Satan with prayer and fasting. He fights him with young people who offer themselves to Him as vessels of honor. (2 Timothy 2:20-21)
Formally and systemically, the devil opposes the Great Commission, “Go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). The first disciples faced this violent opposition, but they stood firm even at the cost of their lives and here is the testimony of the persecutors: “They filled Jerusalem with this doctrine” (Acts 5:28). The apostles were young men who carried God’s work to the ends of the earth. They were vessels of honor that God used as a lethal weapon to advance His Kingdom.
Many young people are unfortunately willing to be swept along by the torrent of the present age, yet oars have been placed in their hands so that they will not give in to the whims of the waves, but will be guided by the Holy Spirit.
A young writer has said with much pertinence that “This is our time, we must be young and overcome”. It is now or never. Youth means risk-taking, daring, fighting, conquering, winning.
My dear youth, look around you. Is the gospel being preached in your family, your neighborhood, your school, your place of work? If you don’t do anything, God will be unarmed, and nothing will be done.
Arab and Muslim nations are desperately waiting for the Savior. The Lord is waiting for you to give yourself to save His sheep in these nations.
Our countryside is abandoned and languishing under an opaque spiritual darkness. The spiritual mapping of our countries is just alarming. Entire villages without a church, neighborhoods and cities without a church or with a small handful of believers; nations without a church of the Firstborn. This unfortunate situation exposes the laziness and disinterest of an amorphous youth with no ambition for the Kingdom. This situation must change and give way to a picture where the youth rise up with their true identity to bring about the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father. Think of this true statement “Youth is the time of acceleration”. It is now and with all the energy of your youth.
You, young one, God is calling you to be an agent of change, a Joseph, a Gideon, a Nehemiah, a Samuel, a David, etc.
You don’t have to be an exceptional person. All of the above were not exceptional. Agents of change are ordinary people like you. You just need to offer yourself to God as a pure vessel, and then dare. Yes, dare to be careful and confident like Gideon and David.
Here is a testimony of what a young man brought to his village, a place in the North of Cameroon. As a young student, he brought the gospel to his village in the face of fierce opposition and persecution. Today, there is a big church in this village that has brought some development with a borehole of good drinking water and a nursery and elementary school.
The young people must rise up and go conquer villages, get up and start ; uh
The youth must rise up and conquer the neighborhoods, rise up and start;
The youth must rise up and conquer Cities, rise up and start;
The youth must rise up and conquer Regions, rise up and start;
Young people must rise up and go conquer Nations, rise up and start.
We are a missionary community. Let’s take off our caps and be missionaries wherever we are, and go plant churches wherever the Master of the harvest sends us.
You are a young person,
You are an agent of change,
You are a formidable weapon of God for the advancement of His Kingdom.
Stay blessed as you obey.
Furthermore, the succession must be prepared today by giving a place of choice to young people in our various local churches throughout the world. Youth must be empowered and brought to the forefront. “Anything done for youth without youth is against youth. For this reason, youth ministry must have a place of choice in our churches if we want to be serious or if we are serious.
