Our History
Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI) was started in Cameroon in 1975 by Professor Zacharias Tanee Fomum. Brother Zach initiated the ministry by establishing house churches in Yaoundé and later expanded to other locations in Cameroon. The first international missionaries were sent out in 1993, and since the early 2000s, CMFI has established churches in additional countries in Africa, Europe, the United States and Canada. CMFI Cameroon is the organization's headquarters and includes various ministries such as a publishing department, Hope World TV, JEF Cameroon, and CMFI School of Ministry.
God's main directive to mankind has always been consistent from Adam to our dispensation: "Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” - Genesis 1:28 KJV
He gave the same command to Noah after most of the creation was wiped by the great deluge:” And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” - Genesis 9:1 KJV
